这个词一般不用于进行时。
1. 表示“感激”“赞赏”等，通常为及物动词，其后可接名（代）词、动名词、名词性从句等作宾语，但不能接不定式。如：
I'd appreciate some help.
如果有人帮忙我将非常感激。
Your support is greatly appreciated.
十分感谢你的支持。
[V -ing] I don't appreciate being treated like a second-class citizen.

2. 作“感激、感谢”其后只能接“事”作宾语，而不能接appreciate +人+ for one’s help 结构；若要用类似结构，可考虑用动词thank等。比较：

误：We appreciate you for your help.
正：He thanked her for her help. 他感谢她的帮助。
误：He thanked her help.
但是，直接+人作宾语是可以的：
They obviously appreciate you very much
